Astrill Setup Manual:How to use app filter

STEP 1: Open Astrill VPN app and login

Now tap on options button (three dots in top right corner).

STEP 2: Select "Application filter"

STEP 3: TAP on "Tunnel all" to see other app filters

Your whole phone will be tunneled through VPN under "tunnel all" filter.

STEP 4: Choose "Tunnel selected"

This filter will tunnel only selected apps from VPN. All other apps that are not selected will use your default Internet connection. Your IP will be visible to these apps. Your ISP will know you are accessing them and can throttle/block your traffic.

STEP 5: Choose "Exclude selected"

This filter will exclude selected apps from VPN. So apps that are excluded will use your default Internet connection. Your IP will be visible to these apps. Your ISP will know you are accessing them and can throttle/block your traffic.

Now go back to main screen of Astrill VPN app and connect to VPN to use app filter.

Additional Notes

-You can use App filter under both OpenWeb and StealthVPN.

-App filter is available only on Android 5.0+ devices.
