Google is set to purchase the cloud security leader, Wiz, for $32 billion in cash

Google’s parent company, Alphabet, has agreed to acquire cloud security startup Wiz for $32 billion, marking its largest acquisition to date. The deal aims to strengthen Google Cloud’s cybersecurity capabilities to compete with Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
Wiz, a rapidly growing startup, provides cloud security solutions across multiple platforms. Pending regulatory approval, the transaction, expected to close in 2026, reflects increasing investment in cybersecurity amid rising digital threats. Google’s stock declined following the announcement.
